These Terms of Service (“Terms”) apply to your use of removebg.center (the “Service”), operated by Scale Vault (Pty) Ltd, Johannesburg, South Africa (“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. The Service
removebg.center provides a free online tool that removes the background from images. Processing happens in your web browser on your own device; your images are not uploaded to our servers.
2. Your content and responsibilities
You may only use images that you own or have the right to use. You are solely responsible for the images you process and for how you use the results. You must not use the Service to create or share content that is unlawful, infringes anyone’s intellectual property or privacy rights, or is harmful, abusive or deceptive.
3. Ownership of results
We claim no ownership of your images or of the images you create with the Service. Your rights in your results depend on your rights in the original image.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to interfere with or disrupt the Service or our website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems, copy or resell the Service or its code except as allowed by the licences of its open-source components, or use automated means to overload the website.
5. Our intellectual property
The removebg.center name, logo, website design and content belong to Scale Vault (Pty) Ltd or our licensors. The background-removal models and software libraries we use are open-source and remain subject to their own licences.
6. No warranty
The Service is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose. Always check your results before using them.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scale Vault (Pty) Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Consumer Protection Act, 2008, or other laws that cannot be excluded.
8. Third-party links and advertising
Our website may contain links to or adverts from third parties. We are not responsible for their content, products or services.
9. Changes
We may update the Service or these Terms at any time. Changes take effect when published on this page, and the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated Terms.
